Vines dating back to 1970 from the largely east facing Rayner Vineyard, have provided a Grenache of density in its small clusters. The team at Bondar Wines hand picked the fruit a little earlier than usual to try to catch some herbal aspects, while the 20% whole bunch fermentation leans those flavours in further, while providing extra tannins. Fermented, then aged for about 6 months in ceramic eggs and French oak barrels, and finally bottled unfined, unfiltered. 

An impressively fragrant Grenache of red currants, strawberries, and pomegranate notes, supported by savoury herbs and excellent length.
