Description

This Barossa Alicante is a brilliantly vibrant and refreshingly dry wine with a touch of lively texture. Named "Meisje," which means "little girl" in Dutch, Koen Janssens chose this name after his young son's endearing reference to the barrel where it matured.

Sourced from the sandy soils of Vine Vale in the Barossa, this wine stands out with its lower alcohol content at just 12%, offering a fresh perspective on Barossa reds. It exudes a radiant character, brimming with red berries, zesty fruits, purple florals, and a hint of freshly cut hay.

Koen Janssens is establishing himself as an innovative force, challenging traditional perceptions of Barossa wine with his contemporary and natural approach. He's part of a wave of producers reshaping the identity of Barossa wines.
