The Villages collection by Mac Forbes represents a big step in a broader understanding of the amazingly diverse Yarra Valley and its sub regions. For years the Yarra has been represented by single vineyard wines and blend, but they aim to bring more light on how amazing each specific sub region can be.

Sitting behind the Warramate Hills on volcanic soils.  There is greater compression and restraint of fruit. Whilst not the coolest of areas, it does get protection from the north giving amazing purity of fruit. Deep sedimentary rock offers wonderful length and such recognisable tension and depth of structure. Always a sleeper.

Delicate aromatics of blush peach skin and orange blossom. Palate is zesty and playful, brimming with fresh citrus, florals and a little custard apple. The tactile back palate draws focus to the finish.
