The Villages collection by Mac Forbes represents a big step in a broader understanding of the amazingly diverse Yarra Valley and its sub regions. For years the Yarra has been represented by single vineyard wines and blend, but they aim to bring more light on how amazing each specific sub region can be.

East facing within a smaller valley that runs from Yarra Junction through to Poweltown with cooler winds and mountains to the north and south-west giving it protection from the direct heat, Yarra Junction is a great sub region with its wines showing lots of elegance and grace.

This Pinot Noir is definitely a great representation of the area with nice clean lines of ripe juicy fruit balanced with mid level acidity and a lot of structure to give it a bit more weight than other sub regions in the Yarra.
