For those who are unfamiliar with Savignin, the Rob Dolan version is the perfect place to begin a love affair with this variety.
A fresh and zesty white, perfect for pairing with seafood or just to drink on its own, Savignin is ideal for growing in the cool Yarra Valley conditions. Much cheaper than going on a trip to the Alps where this wine is usually found, it is a bargain for the amount of experience that went into its creation.
After only a few years of operation, Rob Dolan was named the 2014 Newcomer Winery of the Year at the James Halliday Australian Wine Companion Awards. Clearly the only way is up for this winemaking master with over 25 year's experience, an excellent addition to the collection of Yarra Valley greats.
