Dudley Brown is an American engineer who threw out his engineering hat as soon as he set his eyes on the Mclaren Vale. He has a strong passion for organic and sustainable farming and grows fruit for St Hallett - who use his Shiraz for the much-lauded the Vicar. He picks the cream of the crop for himself and makes his own wines under the Inkwell label.

The Road to Joy is named after the headland that cuts down the middle of Brown's vineyard. The joy of the wine is that it's crafted using three different varieties of single vineyard blends. It's a masterpiece that tastes of chocolate and licorice - rich, deep and tangy.

Inkwell wines are organically farmed and made naturally without any additions - only a touch of sulphur at the end. It is their dedication to purity and their ceaseless passion for sustainability and green agricultural practices that make them fantastic global citizens as well as fabulous wine makers.
