Description

The second edition of Bakery Hill's Eldorado whisky follows its smash-hit 2020 predecessor. It's an Australian sherry (Apera) barrel matured single-malt whisky, with the intensity of the barrel influence turned all the way up. Eldorado showcases a mix of the American and French oak it was matured in before being placed into an Apera cask for 18 months. This was followed by another 3 years in an American oak ex-Bourbon cask.

On the nose are enticing notes of salted caramel, candied orange and vanilla. The palate showcases rich, smooth flavours of golden syrup, apricot and creamy vanilla coupled with tart green apple, grape and lavender. Sweet and savoury mixed together in the finish, alongside a buttery mouthfeel. Immensely and dangerously drinkable.
