Chardonnay - Oaky


Barringwood's Chardonnay, carefully harvested from their Evandale Vineyard in the southern Tamar Valley, showcases a meticulous winemaking process. After airbag pressing the grapes to French Barriques, the wine underwent primary fermentation using only the finest free-run juice. Following this, it embraced a full 100% malolactic fermentation and aged gracefully in barrels on lees with battonage for six months.

In the glass, it unveils a pale, inviting straw hue, while aromatically, it delights with notes of white peach, citrus, and nectarine. The palate reveals a harmonious interplay of flavours, characterized by medium body, hints of lemon curd, creamy oak, soft spice, and a focused fruit finish.

Pair it with lemon-roasted chicken or a seafood risotto for a delightful culinary experience. And for those with patience, this Chardonnay promises to evolve gracefully with cellaring potential exceeding 5 years.
