From Black Estate Home vineyard, situated 6 kilometres north east of the Waipara Junction, in the Omihi subdistrict of the Waipara Valley, North Canterbury. 

The wine shows ripe wild berries, violet flowers and graphite. Earthy character, succulent and textural on the palate. Aged in neutral barrels, the wine is then bottled without the addition of any sulphur, unfined and unfiltered.  The wine is organic and biodynamic.
