Red Blend, Grenache, Shiraz, Mataro
Bondar Wines
McLaren Vale
Red Blend - Medium Bodied
Australia

Description

With Junto being the Spanish and Portuguese word for 'together', that is exactly what's happening here; Grenache, Shiraz, and Mataro, in perfect harmony.

The unity is chiefly Grenache (78%), having been sourced from two sites; the former being Bondar's Raynor Vineyard, while the latter is sourced in small quantities from Blewitt Springs. Shiraz (10%), too, is sourced from the Raynor Vineyard's 70 year old vines. And finally, Mataro (12%), at its highest proportions for a Junto release due to the exceptional conditions from the Lacey Vineyard in the foothills of Willunga.

Unpretentious and easy to drink, this medium bodied Southern Rhone style is full of red fruits from the Grenache, while supported by savoury elements and solid length.
