Cabernet Franc, but not as you know it. Sourced from young vines in the Gloria Block, the fruit was harvested a little earlier than usual in order to retain its vibrant acidity, while it saw no oak in its ageing process. This is light in body, with pleasantly grippy tannins that surround a core of dark fruit notes, such as mulberry and blackberry, while a sense of leafiness is discernible in the way of blackcurrant leaf, teetering on eucalyptus aromas. All of this contributes to a deeper complexity, offering quite a structured, savoury finish.
