One of Australia's finest, Mount Mary Chardonnay is a masterclass in balancing power with restraint. The palate shows flashes of richness with notes of honeyed quince, vanilla, and ripe pear but employs structure and interest via a lick of gun smoke, cedar, and mouth-watering acidity. Texture is plentiful here, thanks to the use of 30% new French oak barrels and extended lees stirring. This is a very special wine that all Chardonnay fans should try at least once in their lifetime.
