Towering over the east coast of Sicily is the Volcano Mount Etna and at the foot of it is home to some of the most unique soil in the world. This amazing area is home to a bunch of stunning wines by multiple producers and one of the most iconic is Pietradolce.

At the heart of Pietradolce's philosophy is their love and respect for their land. Combining rich ancestral traditions with modern techniques, they produce wines that embody that respect. Even the winery buildings themselves are a testament to this, built into the land in a "Hypogean" style, so that they flow into the terrain rather than just sit upon it.

Nerello Mascalese is often referred to Italy's answer to Pinot Noir, and here it's beautiful drunk slightly on the young side.
