Charlie Osborn, part of the Konpira Maru winemaking team, is all about pushing boundaries and experimenting with alternative varietals. His latest jam? Vermentino straight from the eclectic Chalmers patch in Heathcote.
Giving it the full treatment, Charlie let this Vermentino sit on skins for a solid 24 hours, dialling up the texture and structure. But he didn't stop there – throwing a portion into French oak barrels for added depth.
The result? A refreshing, tangy Italian-style sipper with a citrus kick that'll have you vibing. It's like sipping on the essence of summer, with a touch of class that'll make you feel like you're dancing in the vineyard.
