Grown in Denton View Vineyard's granitic terroir, this wine benefits from a slow-growing season, resulting in vibrant red fruit flavors, hints of aniseed, and a refined tannic and acidic structure. Crafted in a classical style with the use of 29-year-old 500L puncheon barrels, it also incorporates a touch of new world influence. With a bright, medium ruby colour, it presents a complex array of aromas including dark cherries, sandalwood, dried roses, orange peel, and subtle botanical notes like quinine and juniper. On the palate, ripe flavours are balanced by refreshing acidity and fine, grippy tannins that bring focus, leading to a long finish.
