When it comes to the Mornington Peninsula, Tod Dexter is the undisputed expert. With a resume that includes Yabby Lake and Stonier, and now his own label, Dexter has honed his skills in crafting exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. His Chardonnay stands out as a prime example – elegant, stylish, and bursting with depth of flavour. It's tightly wound, showcasing an abundance of greener spectrum stone fruit notes, reminiscent of firm peaches and nectarines. A hint of grapefruit adds complexity, while underlying tones of crushed rock minerals, subtle nougat, and cashew, along with a touch of wet fern, contribute to its complexity. Bold and vibrant on the palate, it skates across with refreshing energy, leaving a lingering, minerally finish that just won't quit. In short, it's really, really good.
