Josephine Perry is the woman behind Dormilona wines, from Margaret River and Yokel (Swan Valley). Working alongside this inimitable woman is partner Jim Crespin. The pair’s intuitive, organic approach always bears great rewards throughout their wines, and the release of the Clayfaces, a range of wines fermented and aged using Italian amphoras, are an annual highlight for us.

Chenin Blanc is Josephine's favourite variety, this one is made in amphora, the fruit is hand harvested from Yungarra vineyard, then destemmed into large format Italian amphorae, where fermentations goes on naturally on the skins for one month. The wine is then pressed off and left to settle before bottling. Ready to enjoy now, it has a great potential to age.
