Evident of a cooler of climate, but not overtly so, the aromas suggest notes of cassis and plums that mingle with deep herbal touches of liquorice, olives, and cedar. The palate feels generous, yet kept in line by a firm oak presence due to the 24 months that this wine saw in barrel, and fine, grainy tannins that could see this wine age beautifully into the next decade.
