Made from grapes grown on an isolated, high-altitude site planted in 2010, this single vineyard Tasmanian Chardonnay has elegance and intensity in droves. Some new oak has been used here (30%) and half of the wine underwent malolactic fermentation - the result is just enough weight and texture to let the terroir shine through. Notes of freshly picked stone fruit, lime pith, green apple and exotic spices mingle with a suggestion of cream, some saline minerality and an energetic jolt of acidity. You'll be sipping this one and marvelling at its complexity the entire time.
