Grown on Ghost Rock's highest site - where the grapes enjoy a long, cool ripening period - this single vineyard Tasmania Pinot Noir is a showcase of precision and consistency. Pristine red fruit notes of cherry and cranberry take centre-stage, augmented by a balsamic-y edge. Some earthy tones and a whiff of smoked game add to its complexity and charm. A third of the wine was aged in new French oak, which gives the whole thing just a hint of vanilla and baking spice. It's vibrant, moreish and is an excellent contender for medium-term cellaring.
