MMC 1 stands for "mout mute au Cognac", relating to the blending of must with cognac, the process of which is utilised here, before being aged together for a minimum of seven years in French oak barrels. Finally, it is bottled without the additions of sulphur or sugar, from a small estate in Petite Champagne. 

On the nose, it shows lots of fruit, coupled with detailed minerality. A pleasant, soft palate, with balanced acidity helps to create an intricate mistelle.
