Description

The 2019 Brut Vintage comprises 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, primarily sourced from Coal River Valley (Tolpuddle, Uplands) and North Western Tasmania (White Rock).

The initial blend contained 3.5 % of reserve wine from 2010.  At disgorging, the liqueur d’expedition included a tiny proportion (0.3%) of wine from the 2025 vintage.

A chameleon of a wine. Pretty pale salmon in hue. Chardonnay provides a firm savoury framework for voluptuous red berry fruit, pink blossom and lip-smacking autolytic characters. In the mouth, the wine opens up to a generous mid-palate of quince, tangy crushed raspberries and strawberries, toast and almond croissant. Giving way to a long dry, oyster-shell finish.

Almost six years on lees, disgorged July-August 2025, 2.0 g/L dosage. Closure: Amorim cork ABV: 11.2%

Production size: 850 bottles.
