Description

Named for the King River tributary Boggy Creek, which splits the lava flow that formed Whitlands into two ridges. Arneis sourced from the Cavicchiolo Vineyard, King Valley, Victoria where it grows on deep red volcanic soils. Sustainable in conversion.

De-stemmed and very lightly crushed. Plunged once in the morning and once in the afternoon on a daily basis, for gentle extraction during fermentation. Pressed incrementally over a two week period after a week on skins for an average maceration time of 2 weeks. Partial malolactic fermentation during its 5 months in barrel before being blended and racked. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with a sulphur addition at bottling.

Aromatics of new season apricots and honeysuckle and a palate of lightly roasted almonds, baked apples and cinnamon, with a belt of lovely tannin and acid.
