Little Reddie
Riesling - Dry

Dash Farms is one of Pat Underwood’s favoured sites. Perched on the southern ridge of Leanganook, the site sits at a lofty 475 metres elevation and has a north-south row orientation. Planted in the 1990s to various varieties, including Riesling and Chardonnay―you might recall Pat’s brilliant first Dash Farms Chardonnay last year―the soils are rich in decomposed granite over a granite bedrock. In previous years, Pat has used the Riesling in blended whites, but in 2023 decided to take the plunge with a straight bottling. The fruit was picked at full ripeness and pressed gently to 600-litre Stockinger casks and stainless-steel tanks for fermentation. The wine matured on full lees until February 2024, after which it rested in tank before bottling.
