Sparkling Wine
Louis de Grenelle
France - Loire Valley
Sparkling - Dry
France

Description

Louis de Grenelle, nestled in Saumur's picturesque Loire Valley, stands as one of the region's cherished family-owned wineries. Since 1859, the Bodet family has upheld the esteemed Champagne tradition, with Hubert Bodet leading since 1976. Their commitment to quality spans from their own 'Château de la Durandiére' vineyard to collaborations with trusted local growers.

Aged for 12 to 24 months in tufa vaults, their wines develop a refined effervescence that rivals the finest Champagne houses. Cuvée 'Ivoire', aged over 18 months, offers a delicate interplay of exquisite bubbles, silky textures, and enticing notes of apricots, brioche, and hazelnuts. Its palate reveals floral hints of acacia and linden blossoms, ensuring a delightful experience that captivates sparkling wine enthusiasts.

70% Chenin Blanc, 20% Chardonnay, 10% Grolleau, cool-fermented in stainless steel, followed typically by 15-18 months on lees in bottle, before disgorgement with a Brut dosage.
