Michel Couvreur whiskies are made by a French man with a Scottish heart. A passion turned into obsession he purchased a distillery in Scotland and ages the golden single malts distilled in Scotland in humid caves in Burgundy. Michel was obsessed with how the maturation of whisky is affected by the different casks its matured in. Scouring Europe he has sourced the oldest sherry, port and wine casks from the best of the Europe. A play on words, Hyphen in this case is a connection of two distinctly different whiskies. An elegant and subtle 17 yo Scottish whisky aged in dry sherry and Chenin wine barrels is blended with a vibrant and aromatic 7yo peated single malt distilled in France and aged in old Moscatel casks.
