Quealy
Mornington Peninsula
White Varietal - Dry
Australia

Description

Only a small amount of Malvasia Istriana, a white varietal hailing from the Istrian Peninsula in Europe, has made it into Australia. And at Quealy's Mornington Peninsula Vineyard, it only occupies three rows of vines.

Fruit was fermented and matured in a small, one-tonne steel tank from harvest until the first day of September. It was then pressed off skins into seasoned hogsheads for 2 years maturation, before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Definitely the most elegant of the Turbul releases, it's all sweet-citrus, with a spicy white pepper note, delivering a textural balance between rich and fresh across the palate.
