There's not a lot of pomp and circumstance going on at Rob Hall's winery. His wines are made with enough thought and love that he clearly feels they can speak for themselves. Luckily for this man of few words, they can.

His Chardonnay is made from grapes grown in three different vineyards in the Yarra Valley, giving this wine a breadth that ranges from curd and cream to citrus and white peach. Weighty enough that you'll know you're drinking it, but not so heavy that you'll be overwhelmed with oak.

Rob Hall's characteristic understatement extends to his prices - this is a wine that is truly worth much more than you'll pay for it.
