The Highland Line, established in 1784 to lower tax and boost local whisky production, didn’t quite achieve its goal but gave us a treasure trove of whiskies. Highland drams are typically richer and spicier than Speyside, with some offering a hint of peat from older traditions.  On the nose this whiskey has accents of dried oranges with a touch of tobacco, the palate is thick, nutty and full of dark chocolate, boasting a long, nutty, and very chewy finish.
