This Special Reserve Whiskey was created in 1969 to celebrate 70 years of Suntory and was an instant and enduring hit. It is Yamazaki and Hakushu malts blended with Chita grain in first fill American oak barrels.

It's fruity on the nose, with pineapple and peaches up front followed by gentle oak and vanilla. Leading flavours are green apples and immediate baked goods spiciness, nuts and custard notes creating a creamy finish. Medium-length, nicely mouth-coating and wonderfully warming.
