The unique Pinotage variety emerged from an unexpected crossing of Pinot Noir and Cinsault in 1925, giving South Africa its very own signature grape.

This wine is crafted from two distinct vineyards—one in Northern Stellenbosch, the other in Voor Paardeberg. The Stellenbosch vineyard rests on sandy, deeply decomposed quartz and granite soils, while Voor Paardeberg’s vines thrive on a weathered, granite-derived terrain. Winery of Good Hope embraces a fresher approach, moving away from the bold, tannic styles of the past century, resulting in a vibrant, lighter wine bursting with juicy red cherry and ripe strawberry flavours, complemented by a subtle hint of spice on the finish.
